AI: the transformation is under way

Reliability of data, modernization of IT infrastructure, first collaborative uses before the gradual deployment of AI agents at the service of businesses: artificial intelligence is gradually becoming established in the practices of Nexia S&A. Explanations by Christophe Sauthon, Associate Transformation, Data, AI and Cyrille Brumaud, Information Services Director.

“There is no AI without data”, recalls Christophe Sauthon. At Nexia S&A, the transformation to artificial intelligence therefore starts with data control: “When we move towards the development of AI, we must be able to exploit internal data. It must be of high quality, under governance and accessible” adds Cyrille Brumaud.

This requirement leads to a review of data creation processes and tools. By requiring complete, structured and reliable information in a short time, electronic invoicing accelerates our data remediation work and the redesign of our internal processes.

There is also no AI without IT: internal data must be made accessible in the cloud, where AI agents can exploit it. “It is a process of modernization and industrialization,” explains Cyrille Brumaud. “It requires rigorous management of rights, storage and flows to guarantee safety and quality.”

The international

The international Nexia network, through its Digital Committee, promotes initiatives around the digitalization of processes and AI transformation. The phenomenon is global and all members of the Nexia network in 119 countries are leading a profound transformation of their organization thanks to AI. Capitalizing on the feedback of other members, exchanging on current initiatives and best practices in other countries allows Nexia S&A to enrich our vision on the evolution of our businesses tomorrow.

A charter of good practices

Before the end of the year, all employees will follow a training course dedicated to AI and the new usage charter deployed in the firm. This charter sets out best practices: respect for confidentiality, vigilance in the face of tool biases and “hallucinations”, attention to environmental and ethical impact. Distributed to all teams, it provides a clear framework for the responsible and controlled use of artificial intelligence within Nexia S&A.

In-house AI ambassadors

Fifteen AI ambassadors, from all areas of the firm, lead a community dedicated to acculturation and experimentation. Meeting every two months, these referees share their tests — such as the use of Copilot licenses — and share their ideas and feedback. “They are relays in the professions”, underlines Christophe Sauthon. Their mission: to bring AI culture to life on a daily basis and to support the development of teams' skills.

AI, assistant to the chartered accountant

“Today, via Copilot, AI searches for and synthesizes documentation, formats technical answers, generates tools to analyze databases, sort files, and automate mailings. It also speeds up the preparation of raw data before processing. But everything must be checked: human expertise remains decisive.

Tomorrow, the AI agent will be a companion capable of following the professional, summarizing a meeting, identifying omissions, proposing actions... Accounting software enriched by AI and connected to electronic invoicing will report inconsistencies or anomalies. But the analysis of the context, the advice and the customer relationship will remain resolutely human.” Stéphane Tuvi Nexia S&A Associate.
