A new office in Lyon and the strengthening of the restructuring practice

Growing together

Nexia S&A sets up in Lyon and structures a national restructuring offer by integrating Maxime Mazuy's team.

Nexia S&A supports its clients in auditing, accounting and consulting by offering them a range of qualitative financial services. “We also want to be able to support them when the situation deteriorates”, assures Fabrice Huglin, Associate Transaction Services at Nexia S&A.

To complete its offer, Nexia S&A has therefore decided to structure a restructuring activity within the firm and to develop its presence in the region.

For his part, after ten years spent with major consulting firms, Maxime Mazuy has developed a consulting activity in restructuring and transaction services that is firmly established in his market. Based on a team of six employees, this activity mainly supports SMEs and ETIs in the AURA region such as Paris and Marseille, with a well-underway growth dynamic. The convergence of projects came naturally. The transaction takes the form of entrepreneurial integration: Maxime Mazuy joins Nexia S&A as a partner, with the mission of managing and developing a restructuring practice within the group, at the national level, while consolidating the Transaction Services business locally. In the medium term, the stated objective is to develop the group's other businesses at the Lyon office.

Shared values

This combination allows Nexia S&A to meet the strong expectations of businesses and the financial ecosystem. It also marks the establishment of the firm in Lyon, in the heart of France's second largest economic hub.

“Beyond development challenges, this project is based above all on common values: the quality of customer support, reasoned growth and a particular attention paid to employees”, underlines Maxime Mazuy. A shared base that is part of Nexia S&A's long-term development strategy, based on capital independence, the operational commitment of teams and controlled growth.

A stimulating challenge

How does this merger fit into Nexia S&A's development strategy?

Fabrice Huglin: This merger is the result of an opportunity. The meeting with Maxime Mazuy made it possible to build a coherent project, which meets both our desire to structure a restructuring activity and our ambition to strengthen our presence in the region.

Joining Nexia S&A, what does it mean for your local presence?

Maxime Mazuy: Above all, this means developing the reputation of the Nexia S&A brand in Lyon, both in restructuring and in other businesses. It's a stimulating challenge. It is also a framework that promotes skills development. Joining the Nexia S&A group allows us to offer a complete range of services to our customers.

What new opportunities are emerging from this merger?

Maxime Mazuy: Our jobs will change significantly in the coming years, especially under the effect of artificial intelligence. Nexia S&A has already initiated this transformation in order to adapt our practices while maintaining high operational added value.

Fabrice Huglin: Nexia S&A brings in new partners, such as Maxime Mazuy, who bring new energy, expertise and perspectives. This ability to associate different generations and to unite around a common project is an essential driver of our development.
